ECO FRIENDLY EVENT
We are committed to making the Malibu Marathon one of the most environmentally friendly events in the country. Working with sponsors, charities and volunteers, we will implement green practices including, but not limited to the following:
- On site recycling of cardboard, glass, plastic, paper, ect
- Choosing organic food for the pasta dinner and the finish line
- Preventing food waste by distributing leftover food to a local charity
- Using biodegradable products
- Donating the clothing that will be left behind by participants to a local non-profit organization
- Using fuel efficient vehicles for the lead car of the marathon
We encourage all participants to this event to be aware of our eco-friendly practice and join us in the effort to make this event a successful green event.
